Our School Prayer

Dear Lord,

Please bless us all,

Help us to care for one another and to forgive one another,

To play and work well together,

Help us to be thankful and always to remember the love of Christ and spread his love wherever we go.

Amen

Spiritual Council

Who?

The Spiritual Council are made up of children in KS2 who have applied for and been awarded a place on the council. They meet regularly and are able to lead and take part in whole school collective worship. Throughout the year they will lead events including our whole school faith days. At lunch times they will lead prayer sessions in the 'space.' They are also involved in monitoring worship and providing feedback to staff.

Why?

  • To improve the school according to the children’s point of view.
  • To make sure each class has an opportunity to voice their opinions.
  • To discuss and raise issues.
  • To discuss any issues with the Head Teacher.

What?

Each class representative meets with their class to discuss ideas about changes and improvements to the school. The issues are then raised in the meetings and councillors discuss how to move forward with these ideas. They carry out surveys and votes within their classes so that each class’s opinion is represented. They also help to organise different fundraising events with the Head Teacher.
